I Decided to Have Rhinoplasty: What Should I Do Next?

About Dr. Timur Batmaz

I am an ENT specialist focused on rhinoplasty. Patients from all around the world visit me for nose surgery, and many of them ask about the special technique I use - the TBFlep technique - even before they arrive.

I perform open rhinoplasty using an ultrasonic piezo device, which allows for very precise bone work. I also use an electrically powered instrument called an electronic burr, which lets me rasp and shave the bone more precisely.

What sets my approach apart is the TBFlep technique, a method I developed to improve control over the SMAS layer and the skin. One of the biggest challenges in rhinoplasty is managing the soft tissues, and this technique helps me handle them in a much more predictable and controlled way. It makes me feel more confident and comfortable during surgery, especially when it comes to achieving long-term aesthetic stability.

I am a perfectionist surgeon, and I always aim for the best possible result. That does not mean I can guarantee perfection every time, because the healing process has a significant impact on the final outcome. But there is one promise I always make to my patients:

I will give it my absolute best. Always.

If you believe in that and trust me, then we can move forward on this journey together.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Please send me your photos (frontal, profile, and base view) on WhatsApp.

Step 2: We will schedule a video consultation with Dr. Timur Batmaz on Zoom to discuss the surgery in more detail. You can find more detail about the online consultation procedure below.

Step 3: After the online consultation on Zoom, if you decide to have surgery with Dr. Timur, you do not need to make any prepayment. It will be enough to send us your purchased flight tickets, and we will use them to plan all schedules. We kindly ask you to arrive in Istanbul at least 1 day before your surgery date.

Step 4: Our office is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Turkiye. Location link: https://share.google/uK9hpWqDzJa9QTt2z. When you come to the office, we will take your photos, perform the simulation, do your blood tests, and inform you about the operation in more detail.

Step 5: The next day will be your surgery day. You will stay one night at the hospital.

Step 6: Seven days after surgery, we will remove your cast, and you will be able to travel back. In total, you should plan to stay at least 8 days in Istanbul.
